Migration yarns are dyed by local artist, Linda Wallace and sold exclusively at String Theory. Linda rarely repeats a color, so if you see something you like grab it now and get an extra skein, just in case ;)

400 yds/ 100 gr skeins
80% SW merino, 20% silk

Monarch is the newest addition to the  Migration Yarn family. Linda chose the name Monarch because the yarn reminds her of the subtle color shifts and shimmers of butterflies as they flutter between sun and shade in the garden. The addition of silk to the blend brings a rich glow and creates subtle differences in how the dye reacts to the merino and silk. The silk also adds strength to the soft merino. Garments and accessories will be warm and have a lovely drape. Not recommended for socks.

Impact
10% of all sales goes to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Note: These are hand-dyed skeins done in small batches, please make sure you have enough of the colorway you need to complete your project. Although skeins may look similar, no two skeins are exactly alike. We recommend alternating skeins if using more than one.
