Learn some brioche terminology, how to work basic brioche stitches, and the brioche increases and decreases used in the middle of this 2-color cowl. After you learn these basics, you’ll be able to expand your brioche repertoire into more elaborate patterns!
*Note that we will be making a shorter cowl (~31”) for this class rather than the 48.5” original size.
Materials: Please purchase and print out Lavington II Cowl pattern, by Monika Anna from Ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lavington-ii-cowl You will also need two different colors of worsted weight yarn, 140 yds each Woolfolk FÅR suggested, US7 and US8 circular needles, 24” long stitch markers: (1) for beginning of round, and (10) more for marking pattern repeats
Homework: Print pattern and bring to class. Cast on 110 stitches and work rounds 1 through 6 before first class.
