Ann Weaver - Intro to Brioche Class

Skills needed:
Knitting, purling, and working in the round
Techniques covered: One-color and two-color brioche stitch
Materials needed:

  • Three contrasting colors of worsted-weight yarn: (A)100 yards, (B)(150 yards, and (C)200 yards. We recommend Weepaca or Woolstok for the best color choices.
  • 24-inch circular needles in US Size 6, 7, and 8. We will use only the Size 8 in class.
  • Stitch marker
  • A copy of the pattern Rothko Cowl (available for purchase online through Ravelry for $5)
  • Tapestry needle (for lifelines and troubleshooting)
