Knit a Tiny Gnome with Anna of Mochimochi Land (virtual)
We are so excited to have Anna of Mochimochi Land back at String Theory Yarn Company for a virtual class.
In this class you will learn to knit a tiny gnome, a project that can be modified into all kinds of different little people! In this class we'll cover all the techniques used in the tiny gnome pattern. Your gnome can be clothed or gnaked - your choice!
Sunday September 19 from 1-3pm Central Standard Time
Skills needed: Participants should be familiar with double-pointed needles
Techniques covered: joining I-cord legs and arms, knitting with 2, 3, and 4 double-pointed needles, switching colors, and embroidery tips.
- Fingering-weight yarn (or your preferred thickness yarn) in five colors (less than 10 yards of each) plus small amount of contrasting yarn for eyes
- Set of US 1 (2.25mm) double-pointed needles (or 2-3 sizes under that normally suggested for your weight of yarn)
- Stuffing (polyester fiberfill recommended)
- Tapestry needle and scissors
Note: Worsted-weight yarn (and US 5 double-pointed needles) is recommended for those less experienced with circular knitting.
A pattern will be sent out prior to class along with the Zoom link.
