Migration Yarn Journey DK is a wonderful “knit anything” yarn.  100% superwash Merino wool makes this yarn very soft and easy to care for. It’s great for anything from hats, cowls, wraps, and children's wear, to your favorite sweater. An excellent versatile yarn!

Migration yarns are dyed by local artist, Linda Wallace and sold exclusively at String Theory.

100% superwash wool
230 yds/100g

Pattern Suggestions:
Alanis (slipover)
Sailaway (Marie Greene's 4 day knitalong 2022)
Dezemberlein (cable hat)
Autonomy (bandana cowl)

Impact: 10% of all sales goes to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

*These are hand-dyed skeins done in small batches, please make sure you have enough of the colorway you need to complete your project. Although skeins may look similar, no two skeins are exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins if using more than one.

Beautiful yarn

This is some of the best yarn I have ever used. Hold two strands together for a cowel, headband or hat. It is warm and stretchy to fit snuggly. Working on a big shawl with single strand, wonderful to knit with. Beautiful too!!

Online purchase

It is always a guessing game when buying online since you can’t see or touch the fibre. I just love the Migration yarn I got. The fibre the twist and the color. Totally satisfied.

Newish knitter

This is one of my first stash purchases. I bought the yarn because I love the blue colors. I am planning to make a cowl, just looking for the right pattern.

Migration yarn - Journey

I look for patterns just so that I can make more Migration Journey pieces. The colors are phenomenal. The touch and feel so soft. Easy to work with. I like to support local FABULOUS artists who, in addition to creating great yarn, contribute some proceeds to causes I care about too.
