Migration yarns are dyed by local artist, Linda Wallace and sold exclusively at String Theory. Linda rarely repeats a color, so if you see something you like grab it now and get an extra skein, just in case ;)

This Traveler base is strong enough for socks. It makes wonderful sweaters (for babies and adults alike). We also like how it drapes in shawls.

80% superwash Blue Face Leicester wool and 20% nylon
400yds/100g

Impact: 10% of all sales goes to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

*These are hand-dyed skeins done in small batches, please make sure you have enough of the colorway you need to complete your project. Although skeins may look similar, no two skeins are exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins if using more than one.

I love all the Migration Yarns. The colors are so vibrant and the yarn itself is everything one could ask for. This is a go to yarn for me and a welcome addition to my stash.

I love this Yarn

Linda’s has the most beautiful yarn! I was lucky enough to go during a trunk show at String Theory and Linda was there and helped me pick out the most beautiful tropical colors to make a shawl. The colors were gorgeous and the yarn is so soft, and works up so nicely!

Wonderful yarn…

Colors are strong and vibrant…yarn is very soft and so easy to work with. I’m not a sock knitter but drapes beautifully for shawls. Definitely worth a try.
