By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda, who survived the genocide, educate a new generation. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.
Mitchell Wool Yarn Tasting (P) December 5
Thursday, December 5
7 - 9pm
Join Sherry, Jessica, and Francesco from Mitchell Wool at String Theory for a yarn tasting.
We'll have new samples, one-of-a-kind skeins, and a bit of their new Shepherd's Watch. Shepherd's Watch won't be ready for delivery until January, but we will have some for you to try out and we'll be taking orders.
The Mitchell Wool story is amazing. It is made sheep to skein in the Midwest. Their colors come from natural dyes that are gentle on the land. But what is most astounding is that these yarns are both sturdy and soft.
Scoop up a skein for a hat, another for mitts, or an armful to make your new favorite sweater.
Light refreshments will be served.
