By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda, who survived the genocide, educate a new generation. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.

Chi-Town Crochet Cowl CAL
Date(s): February 18 and 25
Time: 7:00-8:30pm-ish
Location: The comfort of your own location - this is a zoom class
Instructor: Carol
Description:
Join us for this two-part CAL. We have many people who have learned how to crochet and are wondering what to do next, this is it! Or, maybe you are a crocheter looking for community and great pattern suggestions, this is for you too!
The Chi-Town Crochet Cowl is a gorgeous cowl with an added mobius twist. This one skein wonder works up in a 4 row repeat that is perfect for beginner crocheters. Perfect opportunity to gain pattern reading expertise and also how to customize it for yourself. Carol will give you options to add in a mobius twist, double-wrap cowl or make it a straight long scarf.
There is no charge for this virtual get-together, however, we ask that you purchase yarn from the store for this project. When you purchase your yarn write in the comments section that you would like to be added to the CAL!
Supplies:
- Download the free pattern Chi-Town Crochet Cowl by Kathy Kelly
- 5 mm crochet hook or larger if you want the cowl to be more drapey
- Locking stitch markers
- We are recommending 1 skein of Rios or Bozzolo if you do not want to work with wool.
Homework: Have your yarn and hook ready.
Prerequisites: Be comfortable with basic crochet skills
