By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda, who survived the genocide, educate a new generation. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.

Description: Start your sock-knitting journey from the toe up! Fans of toe-up socks say they are easier to fit as you go and you can use up every last bit of your yarn. We'll be using the Warm Feet for Everybody pattern, by Lizzie Fernandez. The sock starts with a figure-8 cast-on and continues through the foot to a flap-and-gusset heel. We'll talk about two different stretchy bind-offs, as well. Other skills include making increases and wrap-and-turn short rows
Supplies:
- 100g of fingering weight yarn.
- Appropriately sized needles for the yarn - we suggest 1s or 2s.
- You may use your favorite method of knitting in the round: double-pointed needles, Magic Loop, FlexiFlips, two circulars, or a short circular.
- Please download and have available The Warm Feet for Everybody pattern, from Ravelry
Homework: None
Cost: $45
