One Skein Projects for Travel

It is that time of year when you spend more time planning your vacation knitting than you do planning your outfits. Let me help.

Meg wrote a great blog post on how to pick the best travel projects. And here are some of the pattern ideas I wrote up in this blog post a couple of years ago.

But lately, I've been focusing on projects made with fingering weight yarn. One skein doesn't take up a lot of room in your bag and provides hours of entertainment.


Super Simple Spring Cowl by Kamaca Champion aka Miss Purl

Miss Purl's Super Simple Spring Cowl, for example, is perfect for travel knitting. Cast on that Sister Ananse skein you fell in love with. Or the Go To Sock that caught your eye. Pure joy as you watch the colors come together. You can knit this cowl and still chat with friends. You can knit this and still be the navigator on your road trip. You can knit this and still keep an eye on the kids.
