By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda, who survived the genocide, educate a new generation. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.
Sign Making with Emily (p) - March 22
This event will be held IN PERSON at String Theory Yarn Company
Date(s): Sunday, March 22
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Instructor/Host: Emily
Description:
Last month's two Melt the ICE stitch-ins were so uplifting and energizing, Emily wanted to offer more ways to take action. Many of you already are planning to attend a No Kings Rally on March 28th, and so we're having a sign-making party to get ready!
Emily will be there to share her tips for creative ways to incorporate knitting/crochet/embroidery to protest signs. We'll also have a new shipment of red yarn available in case you'd like to sit and stitch a Melt the ICE hat!
Supplies
We'll have some limited sign-making supplies - but we definitely recommend bringing your own poster board and markers if you have them!
Homework: none!!
