Ewetopia | Flock-to-Skein Yarn from a Women-Owned Fiber Mill in Wisconsin
Kathryn Ashley opened Ewetopia in Viroqua, Wisconsin in 2007, her senior year of college. Her background was Women's Studies and Rural Sociology — not a typical path into fiber, but it shaped everything about how she builds her business. In 2017, she expanded to include Ewetopia Fiber Mill in LaFarge, WI, giving her full control from midwest-grown fleece to finished skein. Ewetopia Sustainawool, the collection's standout, is processed entirely in-house in small batches — a springy, heathered worsted-weight that keeps coming back into knitters' baskets. Helix DK, a self-striping blend of US Rambouillet and Targhee, and the high-twist, lustrous BFF BFL round out the collection.
We carry Ewetopia because the small-batch, flock-to-skein process produces a yarn with real spring and texture that you'll enjoy working with and wearing.
