By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda, who survived the genocide, educate a new generation. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.
Indigo Gateway Kit
We chose yarn from Mitchell Wool for this year’s Yarn Crawl project because it is oh so soft and naturally dyed.
Mitchell Wool Co. is a regenerative family farm in Michigan, supporting the US wool industry with sustainable plant-dyed yarns.
The indigo chakra is considered to be the gateway to wisdom and higher consciousness.
My hope is that your project will bring more of that into the world!
Your kit includes two 150-yard skeins of Mitchell Wool DK and the pattern for the Indigo Gateway Scarf.
Since the Indigo color kit is sold out, you can choose any two skeins of Mitchell Wool DK and we will send you the pattern for free.
You will also need a US #9 needle.
If you are looking for crochet ideas for this kit, how about these:
Snowy Wheat Puff Crochet Hat
Winter Wheat Flat Mittens
Twist to the Classic Beanie
Gestirn Cowl
One Skein Scarf (I'd use both skeins for a longer scarf)
