50% Easy Wash Alpaca/50% Merino
135y/50g

We’re thrilled to introduce Ikigai's latest yarn, which employs an innovative process known as “Easy Wash.” The Alpaca/Wool Easy Wash treatment incorporates enzymatic and oxidants processes to eliminate shrinkage, making Alpaca yarns suitable for machine-washable products. Importantly, this treatment is implemented with sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Impact

  • Preservation of the natural characteristics of the fiber, unlike other treatments that may diminish its natural properties by covering it with synthetic materials.
  • The treatment is entirely chlorine, resin, and sulfuric acid-free, ensuring no contamination to waterways.
  • Free from harmful chemicals.
  • Approved by Oekotex, Blue Sign, and Reach standards for environmental and social responsibility.

Great Elements

Well, I eyed this kit for a long time, and finally couldn’t resist. The yarn is great…soft and so pretty in these colors. I did not want mine quite so wide so I have take some stitches off and mine will be about 8”wide. Switched to a 16” circular needle to do that. It’s round and round you go and it’s great TV or car knitting. Just have to remember to change colors per the pattern. Love it! Super nice kit!
