Plied Yarns | Non-Superwash Wool Hand-Dyed in Baltimore

Plied was born when Karida Collins — founder of Neighborhood Fiber Co. — and knitwear designer Ann Weaver toured the Harrisville mill in New Hampshire and conceived a yarn that would travel between two cities. Singles are spun at Harrisville, shipped to Baltimore for hand-dyeing, then returned to New Hampshire to be plied into a lofty, 100% non-superwash wool with genuine character. Colors are named for Baltimore landmarks, figures, and traditions. We carry North Ave, including two exclusive colorways named for the airports connecting us: BWI and Midway.

Plied Primaries are the semisolid siblings to the Twists. Both are spun at Harrisville and dyed at their studio in Baltimore, but primares are dyed in the skein rather than dyeing the plies separately. The result is layered colorways that pair perfectly with the Twists.

Both yarns are lofty, with a little "tooth".
