Celebrating Pride at String Theory - June 2022

Happy Pride Month! At String Theory, we are "proud" every day, but that doesn't mean that we are going to pass up an opportunity to celebrate!

Fundraiser this Weekend!
On June 4 - 5,  we are donating 10% of all sales to Young Equal, a local organization that promotes self-acceptance, community, and love for all LBGTQ+ members. Shop in-store (Saturday) or online (Saturday and Sunday). 

New Yarn!
We ordered Knitted Wit's True Colors line in the Sock base and will have them available for sale on Saturday. When J.K. Rowling revealed her true colors, Knitted Wit renamed their Harry-Potter-inspired colors to honor individuals in the LBGTQ+ community. The colors are exquisite and the stories are remarkable. We've written about a few to get you started. So much to learn!

Cast-on Party June 12!
On Sunday, June 12 at 1 - 3pm, String Theory will be hosting a Cast-on Party to make hats for the Broadway Youth Center to give to unstably housed LGBTQ+ Youths in Chicago. Sign up here.

String Theory will be collecting machine washable hand made hats for the Broadway Youth Center until October 1.
