Marie Greene's Annual 4 Day Knitalong

Knitwear designer, Marie Greene has announced her 4 Day Knitalong, which starts in July. This year we will be making Soundtrack, a pullover with some stripes and slipped stitches. You can take a look at the pattern preview (including schedule, sizing, and yarn amounts) here.

Every year thousands of knitters from around the world gather (virtually) in pursuit of a common goal (to finish a sweater more quickly than they thought they could) This KAL builds community and instills confidence in even the newest sweater knitters.

I've participated twice, once in five days and once in four.

We've brought in special yarns that we think will be perfect for this adventure. Click on the links to order your online. Or give us a call at 630 469-6085. We are happy to help.

First a superwash option...

Linda Wallace, the artist behind Migration Yarns dyed up a fresh batch of Journey in colors that combine perfectly. There are so many good choices. Here are some of our favorites:

Peaceful and Dove

Forest and Summer Breeze

Delphinium and Clematis

Strawberry and Espresso

and a handwash option...

We thought it might be fun to have different color stripes in the yoke, so we asked our friend Lisa Westra of Feederbrook Farm to pick out some of her Entropy DK to pair with some Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok neutrals. This version will be loftier and will need to be washed by hand.
Flash Point and Cast Iron
Critical mass and Midnight Sea
Absolute Zero and Storm Cloud
Flash Point and Gravel Road
Spectrum and October Sky
Potential Energy and Highland Fleece

Have yarn. Have needles. Intend to knit Soundtrack for my daughter. Need to prove to self I can do it in a decent period of time. Want to take Marie Greene’s KAL! How do I “register” for it?
