Chunky (also called Bulky) Yarns are thicker than worsted weight and typically knit to a gauge of 3 - 3.75 stitches per inch on a size U.S. 9 - 11 needle.

Super Bulky Yarns are thicker than Chunky yarns and typically knit to a gauge of  1.75 - 2.75 stitches per inch on a size U.S. 11 - 17 needle.
