Tayna Thomann’s crafting journey began when she was three. She says, “The name, MayBea Crafted, honors both grandmothers and their influence in teaching me the importance of creating something with my hands: Mayme (May) was a knitter, Beatrice (Bea) a seamstress."
Starting in 2021, MayBea Crafted has offered their Farm2Needle yarn—Welcome Home. Connecting farmer to mill to indie dyer as a way to support many small, women-owned businesses with one purchase. The wool is bred for softness, strength and luster; spun to exacting specifications at the mill to best show off textured stitches and stranded knitting; and then hand-dyed by independent dyers to create a bright rainbow of color choices that will bring joy with every stitch.
