Impact: Bridge for Africa was born in 1996 and is based in the rural area of Msinga in South Africa. Poverty of especially the women in the area was the driving force in the initiation of this project. Education levels and work opportunities were and still are extremely poor, aggravated by the lack of employment. Very often the women are left to fend for themselves and their children while the men migrate to the cities in search of work. Bridge for Africa seeks to empower women of the area by providing them with a means of income.
