Star Light Star Bright Kit

Stephanie put together an exclusive String Theory set of 20 mini skeins to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. These 20 minis + the full skein (also included) make the Star Light Star Bright blanket (pattern also included). Simple increases and decreases create the star shape in your choice of 5 or 6 points.

NOTE that while the blanket pictured is the pattern included in the kit, this sample was made in a different color combination than ours.

You can choose to make the blanket or use the 2064 yards of sportweight yarn to make a series of hats and mittens, an adult sweater, or several beautiful cowls. Think of it as having a crayon box with all the colors.

This kit includes all necessary yarn and pattern download.

Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Mad Hatter” 100% superwash merino:
one String Theory Anniversary set of 20, 1 oz mini skeins/1720 yards AND one 4 oz skein/344 yds (for the garter stitch border)

To make the blanket you will also need:

Needles & Notions:
US size 6/4mm needles in double-points, 16", 24", and 32" circulars (or your preferred arrangement for working in the round) (or size required to get gauge), stitch markers (5(6)—with 1 unique), darning needle

Gauge: 22 sts & 30 rounds = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked

Size: throw blanket, with 37.5 from point to center, approximately 75"

Techniques: working in the round, center-out knitting
