Sweater Weather - DK Weight Sweaters to Knit

The first bit of "crisp" in the air and I want to cast on all things! It is definitely sweater weather, once again.

I think DK weight yarn makes the best sweaters. Worsted weight sweaters make great "jackets" or cozy sweaters for the dead of winter. DK is better for three seasons and it is much quicker to knit up than fingering weight.

Here are some of the sweaters I'm considering. Let me know in the comments what you think.

I've been thinking that my wardrobe needs a versatile cardigan in a luxurious yarn. Easy to dress up or throw on with jeans. I think Evendoon in Polka Dot Sheep The Yaak might be just the thing.

I also love the casual coziness of Yonagatsuki and the sleeve detail is stunning. No getting stranded on "sleeve island" for this one. I'd want a yarn with great stitch definition and I think Keenan BFL DK would be perfect.

I could always use a new pullover. Designer Marie Greene's new Espalier is so pretty and just so happens to call for DK yarn.

Pair Daylights or Nightshades with the gradient Feederbrook Entropy or Plied North Ave. for a colorwork sweater like Arboreal. Both of these would give you an interesting effect for the leaves on the yoke.

I don't have kids to knit for, but if you do, take a look at The Twist Pullover. It comes in sizes 3M - 9Y and would be fantastic in our machine washable Neighborhood Fiber Co Studio DK or Dream in Color Cosette.

So what do you think? Let me know in the comments.
