Knitted Hood

Description:  This stockinette hood, partly worked flat and partly in the round, has subtle shaping and is a delightful project that is both zen and interesting to make.  It converts easily to a cowl so it's always handy.  This hood will be the perfect accessory for those early morning walks or while sitting in the stands at outdoor sporting events.

Supplies: 

  • Purchase the pattern Harris Hood
  • Approximately 328 yards of DK Weight yarn, 
  • US 8 24" circular needle or as needed to obtain gauge of 4.25 st per inch 

Homework:  

  • Cast on 21 st on a 5mm (us #8) needle and work back and forth as follows:
  • Row 1 (WS) Purl across row.
  • Row 2 (RS) Knit across row.
