What is a Yarn Tour?
It’s a three-month knitting event with three virtual shows, swag at every stop, and a community of groupies that will inspire you and make you laugh at every turn.
For example, As part of the Fall tour, we traveled to Detroit, the home of Motown. We went behind the scenes with the creator of M1 yarns, snacked on chocolate-covered Michigan cherries, and made a cowl inspired by Diana Ross and the Supremes while groovin’ to tunes on our new Good Vibes Bluetooth Speakers. Between stops, we traded tips, shopped for souvenirs with our 20% discount, and made new friends in our Facebook group.

"It is well worth the price of the ticket! This is an opportunity to meet people from all over, learn new things about fiber arts. The shop owners were welcoming and fun as were the participants. You will enjoy the tour!" Mary Ann
, , and , owners of three different yarn stores and best friends in the industry started this adventure because we were looking for a way to stay connected with each other and our knitting communities during the pandemic.
We figured you were craving this connection too. So, we created .
"Got my box today!!! It was a really tough day at work, and I can't tell you how much I squealed with glee when I saw the contents. This colorway is BEAUTIFUL" Judi
Anyone who has taken a tour or attended a concert knows that it is the people around you that make or break the experience. We are delighted to say that an inspiring, funny, generous community has formed with each tour.
“Love the wonderful things in the surprise boxes! But my favorite has been the zoom meetings – the videos and meeting the designers and getting to meet all the people on the trips.” Ginnie

I love having something surprising to look forward to, It’s fun sharing the experience with others and seeing how each of us use our own creativity with the items we receive, and I always learn new skills and make things I’ve never tried before.
I have joined the Good Vibes Tour bus again. I would not miss it!
The yarn has been gorgeous. The food items delicious. And the patterns have been fun, and well written. The tutorials are really helpful for learning new-to-me stitches. And I have loved visiting the various locations via the videos. Meeting the indie dyers and seeing their studios has been so interesting.
Each Good Vibes Tour box has been exciting to receive. And the comradely among the participants has been great.
Don't miss the bus!
Signed up for my 4th tour and I can't wait for it to start! Janet, Cadence, and Sarah put so much thought and love into the boxes, it's like getting a care package from your best friend every time one arrives.
Many of the yarns and dyers were new to me and, because they're not from large commercial companies, I'm not likely to have encountered them otherwise. The yarn is top-quality and often the colors are created specifically for the GVYT. The colors of the yarns and patterns are always a surprise, and that encourages me to stretch myself outside of my comfort zone. That's part of the fun!
Zoom meetups are always warm, uplifting, and entertaining. They're an amazing opportunity to talk to LYS owners and indie dyers and get a bit of insight and education. Hearing the stories behind the companies and seeing the faces of the people who curated the boxes or created the yarn makes it just that much more personal and enjoyable to work with the yarn.
I love supporting these three small businesses, because they in turn support other small businesses. I'm on the bus because Janet, Cadence, and Sarah are my kind of people.
Each box is better than the next. It is so much fun to open the boxes and see the items that were chosen and the yarn and projects are great
