Mystery Knitalong 2021

Our annual Mystery Knitalong is possibly our most popular event of the year.  Last year more than 150 people across the country participated in our adventure.

What is a Mystery KAL?

Starting on Sunday June 6th, we will email you a piece of a pattern, including pictures and helpful hints. At the end of four weeks you will have all the pieces of the puzzle and a lovely knitted …. something.

You Can Do It!

The projects we pick are easy enough for adventurous beginners but interesting enough for more advanced knitters. Our hope is that you’ll learn a little something along the way.

If you need help at any point, you can pop into our weekly virtual get togethers:

• Kristen's Pick Your Project on Tuesday evenings or
• Beth's Sit & Knit on Saturday afternoons. 

NOTE: This is not for you if you have just learned to knit or you don't like surprises. 

Get a Kit:

Your first challenge will be to decide on your yarn. You will need four colors of sportweight or DK yarn. 

1. 231 yds Color A
2. 58 yards Color B
3. 58 yards Color C
4. 58 yards Color D
5. 58 yards of Color E

We know that the hardest part of the Mystery KAL is choosing your yarn because you don’t know what you are making. That's why we offer kits.

This year , we worked with Karida Collins and Ann Weaver from Neighborhood Fiber Co and Plied yarns to create three color options:

Cool tones for those that prefer rocky shores, waterfalls, and snow-covered mountain tops

Warm tones for those that love the sun, campfires, and maple leaves in the Fall

Surprise Me for those that love all the colors and prefer a one-of-a-kind option

Join Us!

Your kit will be mailed to you at the end of May.

I hope you will join us in this adventure. It is a great opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and learn something new.

If you get a kit, you will be automatically registered for the Knitalong. However, if you choose to find your own yarn, you will need to sign up here to receive your clues. The cost to participate is $10, this includes the cost of the pattern which you will receive in its entirety at the end of the KAL.
